This is a tentative work in progress. I wanted to do more than just a flat wash of color, but I've lapsed back into sickness again and I'm really
feeling awful. I'm shocked the lines turned out so well considering.
Louis Despatis as he appears in Honor Amongst Thieves
, an in-progress work by *Canadian-Rainwater
. Really, I love this character. I've been curious about what it would be like to draw Louis and finally
I got over my, "Don't draw him otherwise you'll be seen as a suck-up!" mentality and made this. I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm sick and therefore don't care as much. I also still feel like I owe Sak one for helping me when she could have just brushed me aside.
Louis wasn't a huge departure from my usual style, but this is probably the first time in history where I don't think I drew enough
hair on one person's head. Drawing Louis was a fun but kind of strange experience. He's not my character, so I'm not at all familiar with his attitude or idiosyncrasies on a personal level. Like, would he tip his hat like that? I have no clue. It was enough trying to get the outfit right, and of course
I forgot the yellow brim on his hat. I'll make sure to add it in when I feel better, along with a more completed coloring job.
...Ugh. It feels like my immune system got hit by a truck.Louis Despatis, Honor Amongst Thieves © Do NOT use in any way, shape, or form.
Also, one does find it useful to listen to Adam Ant when drawing this character.Edit:
Now finished with gradients!
